Just Fur Pets is now Permanently Closed. Thank you for all the support you've given us!
Time depends on the type of service and the size of the animal. Typically between 1 and 1.5 hours.
We will bathe your pets with our lavender shampoo. Vinegar also repels fleas and will be used.
We can release them with owners request. However, if issues persist a veterinarian visit is recommended.
Every four to eight weeks depending on breed.
Clipping or grinding the nails down to a shorter length will help.
Lavender essential oil can help with dry skin as well as adding canned pumpkin to the diet. Always ask your veterinarian what the recommended amount of canned pumpkin for your dog will be. Your veterinarian can also determine if there is an underlying issue causing the sensitive skin.
We strive to met your pet's needs where they are at and accommodate the best we can. We typically only allow one family's pets at a time to help with nerves. We have muzzles if necessary and we can also diffuse lavender essential oils to aid in calming.
We do not sedate nor do we recommend sedation unless there is reason to do so. A vet would have to administer the sedative.
You can bring your puppy to us at any time. We recommend first starting with basics such as bath and nails so your pet can get used to the environment, sounds and sensations that are part of the grooming experience.
If you do not have your pet's vaccination records, we can confirm with your vet if that info is provided.
Our dogs are kept separated from those we groom. We also try to only have one family’s pets in our care at a time unless all involved clients give permission to have their pets around other animals.
If your dog is matted there are a few options. A pre-shaving before a bath will be an extra charge or for the matts to be shaved only. Sometimes it's just undercut getting stuck and a blow-out will help.
If for any reason you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, please notify us as soon as possible so that we can do our best to accommodate our clients.
A shave is when any length is taken off the entire body. There are several different lengths we can do from clipper attachments down to almost a surgical length, which we will only use for sanitary areas or on matts if they are too close to the skin.
Yes, we do clean the dog's ears that come in for a bath or groom at no extra cost. We do not clean cats' ears.
